Portraits: People as Subject Matter
Photographing people has been my passion since the beginning of my photographic experience. This is how I identify my style and myself. When people find out I am a photographer and ask the predictable question. "What do you like to photograph?" My response usually is "people and in black in white". Mostly I photograph individuals I know and in a candid style. These are usually people I am close to. I have several family series. I have a Michal series that is a collaborative effort of a close friend of mine. We have been collaborating, her modeling and me photographing for about 20 years. This collaboration includes nudes, which have been published and won awards. Currently I am not photographing people for a series; but I always love to turn my cameras on my friends and capture the moment.
